| Acid Rain Damage |
Volcanos are the biggest source of natural air pollution today. When a volcano explodes it releases mass amounts of smoke and steam that can pollute our air drastically and even affect our weather. Often there is so much ash from an erupted volcano can block the sun's rays from reaching the Earth. This causes and increase or decrease in temperature of the areas nearby because the ash can trap the heat or not let as much heat in from the sun. Also chemicals released by the volcano (such as sulfur dioxide (SO2), hydrogen chloride (HCl), and hydrogen fluoride gases (HF). ) can, when mixed with water, create acid rain. Acid rain can destroy crops and even kill livestock and people.

Whats worse is that Volcanic ash doesn't even stay in the spot where the volcano erupted, the ash can travel thousands of kilometers out and around the source. Remember the the eruption in Iceland the ash spread all the way to Europe and to Canada.
Volcanos probably sound quite bad right now don't they, but even though they produce more than 100 million tons of carbon dioxide each year, that is only (tentively) 1% of what humans produce. Huh. We produce even MORE waste then a Volcano. A Lot More.
